Any chance she can get, Adie heads for the hills—literally. She loves to hike, climb and camp in the Mile High Mountains. Almost every day after school, she drags Darya, her best friend, along to explore Whistler Canyon, Tumbler Falls or the Smoke Stack Volcano (she always wears her backpack and hiking boots so she’s ready to hike anywhere, anytime). In class at Quantum Elementary, she’s kind of shy. But when Mr. Rife takes the Quantum Kids on a fieldtrip, she’s the first to forge the trail. When she grows up, she’s going to climb to the top of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world.

She likes to study what the earth is made of and try to preserve it. Her World Abundance Project is to conserve the world’s resources by finding alternative fuel to oil. She believes wind, water, the sun and natural gasses can provide ample energy without polluting the world.

Adie has one younger brother. Her dad is a technician at the Whistler Windmill Fields, which create electricity for the City of Abundance. Her mom is a ranger on the Mile High Mountains.

Adie likes to always be doing something, using her pent-up energy after sitting in class. Her energy helps her overcome fears and doubts she may face, and keeps her looking for new things to learn and try. Because she’s always “doing,” she accomplishes most of her goals and helps others accomplish theirs. Adie believes if we can replace our fears with enthusiasm, we can change the world.
