Vision
In order to change the world, it will take a quantum leap—a change from one frame of thought to a higher frame of thought. To make this leap, we must start where thought is influenced and molded most—with children.
The Quantum Kids series will help children make this quantum leap by bringing children of all cultures together and showing them they are all unique, yet very much the same. Quantum Kids focuses on twelve culturally diverse students in Mr. Rife’s first grade class. They learn academics as well as life-bettering values like gratitude, positive thinking, love, honesty, friendship and imagination. Each story spotlights a character and a value, teaching children to appreciate and implement these values, and honor and celebrate different cultures and heritages.
In each story, Mr. Rife teaches the given value by means of a fieldtrip, but also gives the kids assignments to implement the value in their lives. At the end of the story, the child reading the book will be given the same assignment, which he can complete to develop the value in his own life—and work toward becoming a Quantum Kid himself. He can track his progress at www.quantumkids.org, where he will be linked to other Quantum Kids around the planet and see how they, too, are changing the world.
Quantum Kids will follow the twelve characters through the fifth grade in a total of forty-eight books: twelve values each the first and second years, twelve powers the third year, and six powers each in depth the fourth and fifth years. The books will progress from short picture books to full-length chapter books, corresponding with the children’s reading levels.
To emphasize the principles of goodwill, sharing and abundance, we will use 100% of our after-tax profits to distribute books to children in third world countries and build schools throughout the world. We will also publish the entire series on Melcher Media’s DuraBooks—highly durable, waterproof books printed on synthetic paper. Not only will publishing on DuraBooks ensure the books last longer, but it will exemplify a theme in Quantum Kids of looking to the future and being environmentally conscious.
Children are the future. When they make the quantum leap of bringing value, possibility and abundance into their lives, they bring value, possibility and abundance into the world. Quantum Kids will help them accomplish that.
